Thirsty Thursday #2

Cape Ann Brewing Company's Fisherman's Pumpkin Stout

Appearance- Dark black pour with a nice head.

Smell- Spicy pumpkin aromas are the first to hit you nose, but their are some roasty notes hiding underneath

Taste- Taste is the opposite of the smell. Smooth roasty stout with pumpkin notes hiding underneath.

Mouthfeel- A bit on the light side for a stout but still fantastic. Its got a little bit of a bite to it too.

Drinkability- I am really impressed with this beer. It has the best of both world. It has the rich spicy aroma of customary pumpkin beers, but it also has the smooth roasty taste of a stout with hints of pumpkin. Pumpkin beer is good but sometimes the spices can be overwhelming. This is quite the opposite. They are borderline underwhelming, but it really works for them. I'll definitely be buying again.
